Situated along the expansive coast beside the Indian Ocean, Wild Coast Sun offers a range of exciting activities. From the recreational to relaxational, it’s where guests can enjoy the exceptional standard of offerings that is synonymous with a Sun International resort.
Operating in the competitive hospitality industry, Wild Coast Sun required a visual language that was more in line with Sun International’s premium brand offering. Circle was tasked with the brand development and corporate branding. Circle developed Wild Coast Sun’s visual language inspired by octagonal shapes which form part of the building geometry as well as the acute angles that are incorporated throughout the rest of the property. The visual language system includes organic illustrations influenced by the natural surroundings of the resort being land, sea and air.
Wild Coast Sun’s colours have been handpicked to represent the natural beauty surrounding the Eastern Cape and Kwa-Zulu Natal region, from brown which represents sand, to the use of blue to signify the sea. A custom font was created using the line work derived from the octagon shapes which also transpired into patterning that was used for gifting and the information system.
