In 2024, DirectAxis found itself at a crossroads. A brand historically reliant on traditional direct marketing, it needed to pivot to remain relevant in a fast-evolving, digitally driven world.

That’s where Circle stepped in, with a mission to reintroduce DirectAxis to a new generation of South African consumers through a vibrant, digital-first campaign.
From Transactional to Emotional
To succeed, the campaign needed more than attention. It needed emotional resonance. Rather than focus on financial products, we centred the message on what those products enable:
  • A renovated home
  • Educational opportunities
  • Dreamed-of travel plans
We highlighted the feeling of achievement, not the loan itself. This shift transformed the campaign into something aspirational, relatable, and human.
A Bold, Digital-First Creative System
Using vibrant brand colours, playful illustration, and bold, conversational copy, Circle built a visual system designed to:
  • Stop the scroll
  • Build connection
  • Guide users through the funnel
Each piece of creative was crafted for multi-platform delivery, ensuring consistent engagement across digital placements, while maintaining a sense of emotional payoff at every touchpoint.
The result? A modernised campaign that aligned DirectAxis with younger, digitally active consumers, reignited the brand’s voice, and reframed its relevance in a new era. Feels like a win, doesn’t it?
