Cactus Goods Co is a diverse company specialising in Cactus products for health and wellbeing. The company harnesses the sustainable power of Cactus to create solutions and products that are both beneficial to nature and all beings. Due to the growing interest in using Cactus seed to make high-value oil, particularly for the cosmetics industry, Cactus Goods Co launched their very own 100% pure Cactus seed oil derived from Opuntia Cactus seeds.
Circle’s first challenge was to name the Cactus oil which differentiates the product from existing Cactus oils to create ownability. Circle named the oil Nopalio, inspired by the common name for Opuntia cacti and positioned it as ‘An essential ingredient of nature.’
Circle’s second challenge was to create a visual language inclusive of packaging design for Nopalio to establish the brands’ presence amongst existing competitor brands.
The brandmark represents the oils’ multi-purpose uses and benefits, inspired by the shapes of cacti pads also known as cladodes. The colour palette was influenced by the unique colours of the Opuntia Cactus and the seeds. The visual language was used across various platforms from brochureware, to website, corporate stationery, banners and packaging.
This visual language adds strength and ownability to the brand with unique elements which celebrate the Opuntia Cactus and the diverse benefits it offers which allows Nopalio to be easily identifiable from other Cactus seed oils.
