Celebrated chef, TV personality, and culinary icon Siba Mtongana has long been a household name in South Africa, known for her charisma, refined palette, and signature brand of feel-good food. With multiple restaurants, bestselling cookbooks, and an international following, Siba’s next step was natural: a curated retail offering under her own brand, Siba Food.

Circle was brought on board to develop the brand identity from the ground up, creating a visual and verbal language that would honour Siba’s legacy while preparing the brand for future retail and hospitality expansion.

At the core of everything Siba does is a now-iconic word that captures her essence: Sibalicious. More than a tagline, it became the heartbeat of the brand strategy. It represents flavour, warmth, style, joy, and generosity, all traits embodied by Siba and expected in every product carrying her name.

The Siba Food wordmark was crafted using abstract forms inspired by serving dishes, plates, and cutting boards, grounding the identity in the shared experience of eating. In a nod to brand continuity, Siba’s signature icon from her existing brand universe was elegantly integrated into a circular form, echoing a ‘plate’, the foundation of the food ritual.

The result? A confident, distinctive identity that feels refined, joyful, and unmistakably Siba.

Inspired by the intersection of hospitality and retail, Circle designed a packaging system that celebrates craft, authenticity, and sensory pleasure. From artisanal olive oils to decadent chocolate chip cookies, each product in the launch range was treated with elevated attention to form and finish.

Typography, layout, and material choices all reinforce a tactile, high-end foodie experience, lifting the brand beyond conventional FMCG to something truly boutique.

From inception, Siba Food was never just a product range, it was envisioned as the foundation for a future deli experience. With a bold visual language, deep emotional resonance, and a clear brand story, Siba Food is perfectly poised for retail growth, physical environments, and global reach.

This is a brand that proves when taste and identity are thoughtfully aligned, the result is truly Sibalicious.
